About the Producer

Pobeda Piskaceva is an independent producer, host and journalist with more than twenty years of experience in TV production. She has B.A. in Law and Political Sciences, obtained at the Law University in Macedonia. Her first job was a reporter for Macedonian Radio & Television in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. She was there for the next five years, where she handled all aspects of daily broadcasting of local and national news including writing, editing and presenting stories on–air.

She moved to Toronto in 1990, where she has worked as a Host/Journalist on CFMT, Channel 47, and Cable 4 and then as an Associate Producer, Segment Producer and Reporter on “Diverse City” on Rogers 10 Television. Since 1998, she has been an independent Producer, Director, Writer, Host and Editor of “Macedonian Edition”.

Pobeda Piskaceva wrote the script, produced and shot two documentaries “The Border” (1989), a film about drug-smuggling, and “Voden” (1998), a film on the tragedy of the Refugee Children from Aegean Macedonia. She is a correspondent from Canada for Macedonian Radio & Television in the Republic of Macedonia and acts as an External Affairs Director for the annual Macedonian Film Festival in Toronto.

Pobeda Piskaceva was born in Poland and speaks 4 languages.
